Bio:
Christine McClatchey received her B.A. (Business Administration and Finance, 1991), M.A. (Finance, 1993), and Ph.D. (Finance, 1995) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has been teaching at the Monfort College of Business since 1996. Christine was appointed Director of the School of Finance and Quantitative Methods in 2005, following her promotion to Associate Professor of Finance four years prior.
Dr. McClatchey has organized and participated in several financial wellness seminars for members of the local community as well as faculty, staff, and students at UNC. She serves various roles as a member of the College Credit Unions Board of Directors and as a member of the Academy of Financial Services Board of Directors. Other professional affiliations include the Financial Management Association, Southern Finance Association, Financial Education Association, Delta Sigma Pi, and Golden Key International Honor Society.
Dr. McClatcheys research interests include corporate finance, investments, and financial institutions. In collaboration with co-authors from both industry and academia, her work has been published in numerous academic journals and is routinely presented at regional and national finance conferences. She currently teaches courses in corporate finance at MCB.
