Event: Monfort Institute Lecture Series featuring David Spong, former president of Aerospace Support for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems; current chairman of the board of the Foundation for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, Inc.
Topic: “A Journey to Excellence in Two Organizations.” On his two Baldrige Award-winning journeys, Dr. David Spong discovered that much of an organization’s success or failure hinges on the leader’s ability to establish a vision that inspires the people to take action, set guiding principles that ensure ethical conduct, introduce processes that make work easier and less costly, help people work together to overcome workplace and customer challenges, resolve people and product problems, innovate, and achieve long-term growth and results. His speech will describe proven methods and approaches that can elevate organizations to the next level. Spong will also discuss what it takes in today’s challenging times for leaders to truly lead.
