Graduating seniors at the University of Northern Colorado’s Monfort College of Business have again scored in the top 5 percent collectively on a nationally-administered exit exam. Fall 2008 scores put Monfort seniors in the highest scoring band possible on the Major Field Test in Business, a standardized test produced by the Educational Testing Service of Princeton, NJ.
“Fall scores in the 95th percentile point to yet another very strong academic year for our students and faculty at the Monfort College of Business,” said Dean Don Gudmundson. “By any measure, scoring in the top 5 percent among our peer business schools nationwide is an impressive accomplishment.”
Monfort seniors have scored at or above the 90th percentile on the exam for the past five consecutive years (see the chart below). Fall 2008 results will be combined with Summer 2008 and forthcoming Spring 2009 results for annual reporting purposes.
The test is the most widely used instrument at business schools to assess core business knowledge. At last report 564 undergraduate programs administered the exam nationwide.
