Mission

  1. To expose users to a wide variety of ethical frameworks and perspectives, in order to facilitate their capacity to recognize the ethical dimension of their choices and deliberate effectively about how to resolve ethical conflicts.
  2. To create an avenue for students to reflect personally on the appropriateness of those values which govern their current choices.
  3. To exploit the web as a tool to aid students in the development of character and citizenship.
  4. To create developmentally appropriate educational options for judicial sanctions, customized to differing levels of student development, understanding and responsibility.
  5. To communicate and encourage the practice of positive community norms for both residential living and academic endeavors; to help students understand how their daily behavior affects the university community as a whole as well as their own ethical development.
