Our goal for the New Orleans meeting is to create a collaborative sharing environment where BAR members and researchers  share their findings, practices, experiences, insights, and dilemmas.


DAY 1 - Wednesday, October 1, 2008

Sustainable Leadership - Mitigating the impact of leadership turnover on organization performance.

The Day 1 sessions will follow a three part process: (1) present recent findings from two Institute research projects; (2)  discuss the application of the findings in the real world (small group executive round tables); and (3) large group out brief and discussion.

Who are the CEOs that transform organizations - Developing a leadership profile;

What CEOs and senior leaders do to transform organizations - Identifying key actions, activities and practices;

Leadership Systems - Designing processes and systems to support what leader do; and

Learning at the top - Organizational learning for continuous transformation.

Elevating and integrating the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) into the strategic management system

9:00 a Presentation by Drs John Grant and John Latham on organizational performance in an integrated world and elevating and integrating elements of the triple bottom line into the strategic management system - followed by discussion and sharing of best practices from BAR Members.


Executive Round Table on key issues:

- The Global Environment - Pressures from a world community

- Climate Change - Strategies for a carbon neutral organization

- Growth opportunities - Turning waste into opportunities for profit

- Redesigning the strategic management system - Implications for the MBNQA model.


The Future We Face: Executive round table discussions:
