Sustainability is an integral part of performance excellence and is built into the MBNQA criteria. While the triple bottom-line is embedded in the criteria the prominence of the environment and social dimensions of varies among the users of the criteria. With increasing pressures from multiple stakeholders high performing organizations including Baldrige recipients are developing more comprehensive approaches to all three dimensions.
